Faithfully translated from the original Irish Language, with many curious Amendments taken from the Psalters of Tara and Cashel, and other authentick Records, by Dermo'd O Connor, Antiquary of the Kingdom of Ireland. Illustrated with above one hundred and sixty Coats of Arms of the ancient Irish, with particular Genealogies of many noble Families, curiously engraved upon forty two Copper Plates, by the best Masters.

Description

Circulated in manuscript during the late seventeenth century as 'Foras feasa ar Éirinn'.
It was translated into English by Dermot O'Connor, and printed for the first time in 1723 under the title, 'A general history of Ireland'. - With a list of subscribers.
The last six leaves contain genealogies.
Pp. 109-112 omitted.
