Abstract
This bond has been engraved on watermarked paper in blue, red, and blank ink. There is a decorative border surrounding the document, and there is a portrait of the Emperor on the right side. The left side has a black stamp and a red stamp. There is a red stamp in the center at the top, and a purple stamp in the top right corner. On the verso side, there is a version of the document that has been printed in English. There are two purple stamps on the verso side, and a decorative sidepiece on the left side in dark blue ink.
Description
Part Transcription (translated): "The Five Per Cent Loan Bond of The Imperial Government of Japan. One Thousand Yen issued in the 42nd year of Meiji (1909). No. 149347 ... Minister of State for Finance."
