Abstract

This bond has been engraved in green ink, with text printed on top in black ink. There is a thick, decorative border, and several signatures visible near the bottom. A vignette depicting a port in China is present near the top. An eight shillings stamp is present in the top right corner, and there is a rectangular stamp near the bottom. The verso side is mainly text, and has been engraved in green ink.

Description

Part Transcription: "Imperial Chinese Government, Gold Loan of 1908 for £5,000,000 Sterling. ... In Witness whereof the Chinese Minister in Paris has set his seal and caused an engraved fac-simile of his signature to be affixed. Contresignpour identification, pour la Banque de L'Indo-Chine. [blank]. Paris, 1 Mars, 1909."
