Abstract

An Ordinary Share Certificate, number O61737, for ten ordinary shares of £1 each, in Lipton, Limited. Engraved in blue ink on parchment, this certificate has a decorative border, and four vignettes depicting warehouses, factories, or offices in Colombo, London, Liverpool, and Glasgow. The certificate has been filled in by hand in some areas, and has an embossed seal that reads "Lipton Limited". This document has been signed by a director and a sectretary. On the verso there is a printed form for transferring shares.

No. 061737 Ordinary share certificate Capital 2,000,000 divided into 1,000,000 five percent cumulative preference shares of £1 each numbered 1 to 1,000,000 both inclusive entitled to a fixed cumulative preferential dividend at the rate of £5 per cent per annum, payable half-yearly on the 31st of March and on the 30th September and rank both as regards dividends and capital in priority to the ordinary shares, 1,000,000 ordinary shares of £1 each numbered 1,000,000 to 2,000,000 both inclusive. This is to certify that Julian Barnstiein 8 Lynton Road Brondesbury N.W. is the registered holder of ten fully paid ordinary shares of £1 each numbers as in the margin in the above named company subject to the memorandum and articles of association thereof. Given under the common seal of the said company this thirteenth day of March 1899
