Bacon; With an additional title page (A1r), engraved, "Semper eadem or the uniforme government of England", signed: W.M. sculp:, i.e. William Marshall; Includes index; In this, the true 1647 edition, the printer's name and address is printed on two lines. The imprint is in two states: 1) "Printed for Matthew Walbanke at Grayes-Inne-Gate"; 2) "Printed for Mathew Walbancke at Grayes-Inne-Gate"; Wing B349 mistakenly identifies the state with "Walbanke" as the 1672 reprint.
