Description

Hand-coloured by Johann Kruyshaar c. 1521, his and other early marginal notes (some shaved) intermittently throughout, including his catalogue of the Abbots of his monastery at the end.
Binding late 18th-century German 1/4 diced Russia, green watered paper boards and morocco label. Minor repair to joints and head and tail bands.

Title extracted from woodcut title of register (leaf [1a], 1st group), which reads: Registrum huius operis Libri cronicarum cu[m] figuris et ÿmagi[ni]bus ab inicio mu[n]di.

Sint laudes infinite.
Second colophon (leaf [1b], 3rd group) reads: Abest nunc studiose lector finis Libri cronicarum per viam epithomatis [et] breuiarij compilati opus q[ui]dem preclarum. ... Ad intuitu[m] autem [et] preces prouidoru[m] ciuiu[m] Sebaldi Schreyer [et] Sebastiani Kamermaister hunc librum dominus Anthonius Koberger Nuremberge impressit. ... Consummatu[m] autem duodecima mensis Iulij, anno Salutis n[ost]re, 1493.
