Description
A world chronology printed by the son of its compiler, who "composed a new chronological chart ... who had consulted astronomers and antiquarians in correcting the dates in Jacopo Filippo, and who then wrote a short history of the work of all his predecessors from Julius Africanus to Hermann Contractus;" see E. W. Cochrane, Historians and historiography in the Italian Renaissance (Chicago: Univ. of Chicago, 1980, page 381. The third part (leaves 187-301), devoted to biographies of Italy's first families, was not included in Salicato's 1582 reprint. Sansovino did not want to compete with his own newly-published Delle origine e de' fatti delle famiglie d'Italia.
