Title within ornamental border; text within line border ; head-piece; initial. Engraved frontipiece portrait of Charles I as King David has imprint date of 1648; signed: W. Marshall Sculpsit Signatures: A-G. Leaf G4 missigned Gg4 Running title reads: David persecuted. The last leaf is blank.

Juvenile signatures on recto of frontispiece: Bridget, Mary and Jane Jocelyn, daughters of Sir Strange Jocelyn (1651-1734), 2nd Baronet Jocelyn of Hyde Hall, Essex, a Quaker non-Conformist; 8-line poem beginning "O England, England" in early hand on verso of final blank.
