Abstract

A 5% perpetual annuity with decorative elements and borders engraved, and the text printed on top of the engrvings on paper in Spanish. There is a decorative sidepiece that has been trimmed on the left edge, and the main body of text in the center column has been filled in by hand in several sections and signed. There is an embossed seal portraying a coat of arms under the title. The right side has a column of coupons with a decorative border. On the verso side, the document changes to a landscape orientation, and has a large decorative headpiece. Under this decorative headpiece, there are two columns of the translated annuity, one in English, and the other in French.

Part Transcription: "Cinco Por Ciento Espan͠ol. Rentas Perpetuas, Pagaderas en Madrid, ó á eleccion del Portador, en Amsterdam, Londres, Paris, Bruselas, Turin. On͠ate, 6 de Febrero de 1836. El Consejaro de Estado, Comisario Regio de S.M. Catolica: El Contratante: [blank] Tomé razon: [blank]. Na. La Obligacion General y todos los documentos fe facientes estan depositados en casa de los Sn͠rs. Nind y Cotterill, en Londres.
