Abstract

This bond has been engraved on paper in black, red, and yellow ink on the recto side. There is a vignette that portrays Roman themes and myths in the center at the top. Several decorative elements contain the number "100", as the bond is for 100 lire. There is a sidepiece that has been cut along the left edge. The bond has been signed by Giuseppe Garibaldi, and E. Ageni. On the verso side, there is a printed letter describing that the use of these bonds was to fund the Garibaldi insurrection.
